Streetfighter

This is my Suzuki Bandit  600n . It was registered in 1996 and i bought it in 2004 after passing my bike test at the ripe old age of 40. I had bikes when i was 17 but never had the urge to pass my bike test as i had girlfreinds and they prefered the comfort of four wheels . So i swapped my bike of then ,an Aspez 125 scrambler for a californian Imp and that was that as far as bikes went. Then call it mid life crisis if you like but i suddenly got the urge for two wheels again.  After signing up for a three day intensive coarse , which i thoroughly enjoyed i passed my bike test and was immediatly licensed to be free from traffic cues :)  I spotted the Bandit on a well known Auction site bid for it and won it for the princely some of £1100 . I got a lift with some freinds to southampton around 20 miles from where i live in Bournemouth and armed with insurance i was able to ride the bike home , What a great feeling ! However i was eager modify the bike to make it individual. I wanted push the boundaries of streetfighters and decided i would try and combine the styles of drag bike to the traditional streetfighter style.           I started by ditching the stock combined plastic undertray and rear mudguard and fashioned a stainless steel undertray from an old stainless pedal bin that i salvaged from a skip. The edges of the undertray were folded over so that there are no sharp edges ( safety comes first when modifying a motorbike and i would always advise in getting profesional advice before you change anything and also get a new MOT or safety check . The slightest change to a stock bike can change its handling characteristics .SO PLEASE BE AWARE !
